Adidas Samba Collection Cleats

Adidas F50 Adizero TRX FG Samba Cleats

Get ready for your 90-minute lesson in speed.

This new, bold and bright version of the F50 is part of Adidas' Samba collection which pays perfect tribute to the 2014 World Cup host country Brazil. It is true that these blazing new colorways honor the true energy of Brazil.

If you are a pacey winger, or top goal-scoring striker, then these are the cleats for you.

The boots weigh in at a mere 5.8 oz, and they definitely feel much lighter than that when you're playing. It would be hard to find another cleat on the market as light as the Adidas F50 Adizero Samba.

The real improvement that I noticed from this cleat compared to the Adizero II was the strength of the material on top of the cleat. It contains a newly textured SPEEDFOIL, which is designed to improve control and touch. Fitted with TRAXION FG studs for the utmost grip on firm ground pitches, this elite-level cleat dominates above all others from box to box. After testing these out, I knew I wouldn't have problems with slipping on any soccer pitch that I came across.

The breaking in part of these cleats was outstanding. I have never experienced anything like this! Coming from someone who struggles to break in cleats, wearing the new Samba cleats for the first time was astonishingly pain-free. I left the field with ZERO blisters- which is a first may I add.

After wearing them for over three weeks, I experienced playing in all conditions. They held up great in everything that Chicago threw at me. I was slightly worried at how my performance would be using these in rain, but like Adidas stated, the TRAXION  FG stud really provides the best grip you could ever want from a cleat. I had no troubles and I even managed to score a goal.

Check out soccer.com where they have a special discount price for this new Adidas cleat. The list price for the Adidas F50 Adizero TRX FG Samba cleat is $236.99, but this website store is coming in clutch with a price of $179.99.

I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a light weight, fast and reactive cleat. It will take you to the next level, I promise.

The main features of this cleat according to Adidas include;

  • HYBRIDTOUCH synethetic leather material for premium softness, light weight and performance
  • Semi-transparent SPEEDFOIL upper material for light weight, soft feel, high durability and great heel fit
  • DRIBBLETEX raised 3D grip texture for high speed dribbling under wet and dry conditions
  • The SPRINTFRAME construction uses geometrical research and a new stud configuration to offer the perfect balance between light weight and stability
  • miCoach compatible
  • TRAXION outsole for maximum grip in all directions; SPEEDTRAXION high-speed stud alignment for maximum acceleration and quick turns

World Cup 2014- Jerseys unveiled

I don’t know how you feel, but I am very excited for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. I love the spirit that a World Cup soccer tournament brings. Not every country is passion about Soccer (aka America!!), but a World Cup brings out the soccer lover in everyone. It’s a chance to get behind your country and show your passion for a sport that might not always be your favorite. You can’t help but have pride to cheer on your country in such a big sporting event.

Check out the video below which shows the media attention for the unveiling of the Brazil soccer jersey.

The new jersey releases have caused a lot of interest, some negative and some positive. It’s a tradition and part of the hugely built up pre World Cup buzz. Most of the jerseys stay within their limits in terms of color, but they can change a lot in those four years. It is all about the details, this could include removal or addition of small colors, collars, texture, or patterns. The home jerseys of a nation usually stay somewhat the same, but away jerseys can drastically change. Below I have included a few of my opinion of the best and worst new World Cup jerseys.

  • England: I couldn't help but pick England as one of my favorite jerseys. I like the sleekness of the kit and the fact that it is basic but effective. Lets hope it is a winning kit!!

  • Switzerland: What a terrible jersey! Could Puma make it anymore skin tight? I'm really not a fan of this and think that it really doesn't represent their country in any way apart from being red.

  • Japan: I love the look of this jersey. It really represents Japan and also has a very professional, down to business type feel to it. The stripey star across the chest gives it a classy look. I'm sure they are going to do well this year.

  • Chile: Not really a fan of the collars on Chile's new World Cup jersey. It doesn't have much detail on the shirt, and then includes a blue color. Not a nice touch!

What is your opinion of the jerseys I have picked for the best and worst?

My New Soccer Blog

Everybody loves a soccer blog right?

My topic that I have chosen to blog about is soccer, of course. This is a very broad subject but I know that my main interests over this quarter will be the nerve-racking finish to the English Premier League, the Champions League finale and the exciting 2014 World Cup in Brazil. Soccer has always been a big part of my life and I started playing when I was 6 years old. Growing up in England, soccer has always been the number one sport so it was almost instilled into me since birth.  I would head to the park with my Dad to practice my soccer skills before returning home to watch the Premier League games on television every Saturday when growing up.

I believe I am an authority of soccer because it has taken me to many places around the world; I have a good knowledge on soccer in the majority of the popular leagues in various different countries. I think that this gives me the opportunity to talk about something that I am very interested in and love to watch, play and enjoy.

I hope you follow and enjoy my blogs over the coming weeks which will provide you with the latest soccer news.
